1. Schemes implemented   -    i. No development Schemes/activities have been implemented by the Department during

    during 2005 -06 and               2005 -2006. The Department of Weights and Measures is a Regulatory Department which

    Schemes of 2006 -07.            enforce the Act/rules relating to Weights & Measures and the Schemes implemented are 

                                                the normal schemes like maintenance and strengthening of Staff, purchase of tools/

                                                equipments for use by the enforcement Staff and maintenance and repairing of Laboratory

                                                -cum-office Building  in the District Head Quarters.

                                            ii. For 2006 -2007, the Department will implement the schemes as above, funds have been

                                                earmarked in the Budget.
